The AFCAP provides a full range of Civil Engineering capabilities and logistics, inclusive of professionally-based, engineering type of services. The program, too, makes available support as to the infrastructure including that of engineering design, and design of the architecture. Other areas relative to the service include that of humanitarian efforts; all militaristic-related actions, services relative to a contractor’s non-performance, due to bankruptcy or default, or potential breaks in service. One example of the latter service requirement is when a short-in-duration solution is required while a long term contract is within the development stages.
Explanation of the Navy Installation Management Accounting Project as it Relates to IAP Worldwide Services:
The contractor, is required to provide any combo of identified work tasks, identified within the Navy Installation Management Accounting Project, also referred to as the IMAP. The preceding statement is made due to the inherent nature of the service, which is a service carried out on that of a contingency basis. The Model 2010 is inclusive of Command and staff, responsibilities as to supplies, safety of the public, air operations services, services relative to operations associative with port, support with respect to healthcare, support of staff, morale building, recreational services, provision of housing, support with regard to facilities, provision of utilities, and support at the base.
