The journey of Julie Zuckerberg in recruitment business

Julie Zuckerberg has made a strong reputation for herself as the most successful recruiters in New York. With more than 15 years of professional experience in talent acquisition or recruitment in some of the biggest organizations from different sectors, she has achieved an unprecedented success and became idle for many professionals. Currently, she is serving as the Executive Talent Acquisition Lead at Deutsche Bank and leading the whole recruitment team while managing complex and senior level recruitment issues.


Julie attended New York Law School, and she completed her studies in Philosophy from City University of New York-Brooklyn College. However, she gained her in-depth knowledge and expertise in recruitment and human resources through hands-on exposure in different industries including but not limiting to legal, insurance, bank and corporate. Julie started her career in 2002 when she joined Hudson as Director of Candidate Placement in 2002. While working here, Julie was responsible for recruiting lawyers and support staff for different law firms and institutes. In addition to this, she also helped the clients and candidates by providing regular counseling on conflict resolution, compensation & benefits as well promotion. She worked here for five years till 2007 and then joined Citi Global Functions as Executive Recruiter in 2007. This was a more challenging position for Julie where she provided full life-cycle executive level recruitment services for Legal, Compliance, and Audit vacancies. While working here, she deployed some intuitive recruitment method and streamlined the recruitment process. In 2011, she joined Citi Global Consumer Bank as Executive Recruiter and started her career in the banking sector. When Julie was working in this position, she managed recruitment process for senior level vacancies for CitiCards and Citi Global Consumer Marketing and Internet Office on a global scale till 2013.


Julie’s next venture was with New York Life Insurance Company where she joined as Experienced Hire Recruiting Lead, Corporate Vice President in 2013. In this position, she managed a big team of recruiters, recruitment consultants, sourcing partners and led nationwide senior level recruitment assignments. Julie worked for New York Life Insurance Company for a short while till 2014. Afterward, Julie joined Deutsche Bank as Vice President, Executive Recruiter, Talent Acquisition and streamlined the recruitment process of this bank with her expertise. In this position, she partnered with hiring managers and senior management to analyze job requirements, managed contract governance and business relationships to ensure potential candidates for senior level vacancies. She also designed and implemented a regulatory based recruitment initiative while serving in this position. She worked in this position till 2015 and then she became the Executive Talent Acquisition Lead of this Bank overseeing recruitment issues for its Private, Wealth & Commercial Clients, Asset Management, and GTO.


Julie Zuckerberg has an intuitive and different approach to her work. She prefers to work with the management and to hire managers in a pro-active manner and plan the recruitment process from the very beginning. She always emphasizes selecting potential candidates who would best fit the organizational culture in the first place. She is currently based in New York and loves to spend time with some philanthropic and voluntary causes.
