Every 30-something in the United States most likely grew up watching “Full House” and if they didn’t, they were at least aware of it. “Full House” was all the rage during the early 1990’s. It helped launch the career of Bob Saget, John Stamos, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, and Candace Cameron. Many of us 30-somethings still catch the show on late night television and it is full of nostalgia. Now, according to the story on BuzzFeed.com, we may be seeing new episodes of the family comedy soon!
Netflix is looking to reunited the family from San Francisco for a 13 episode season. Flavio Maluf tells us that the reboot will be called “Fuller House” and feature Candace Cameron Bure who played big sister Donna Jo Tanner along with her obnoxious neighbor and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). The show will follow the pair and their lives now 20 years later. Rumors are also around saying that many family members such as uncle Jesse Katsopolis, dad Danny Tanner, and family friend Joey Gladstone will be making appearances as well.
This story was posted on April 2nd of this year and sent many into a fury calling it an April Fool’s joke. I really hope not because I am so on board with watching this reboot! Let’s hope that Netflix can pull this off and we can visit part of our childhood again.
