Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer is the third generation member of the Sirotsky family to become part of the RBS Group which was founded by his grandfather Mauricio Sobrinho Sirotsky. RBS Group was established in 1957 and has grown to become one of the leading companies in Brazil. After taking over as the President of the RBS Group, Duda wants to ensure that the company not only preserves the legacy of his grandfather but is also changing with changing times. He brings new ideas to the company while incorporating the vision that his grandfather had for it.
In an article on Dino, Duda is inspired by one of his professor at the Harvard University from where his completed his post-graduation. The person is John Davis, who taught their class about the family business and business ethics. After years of completing his studies and taking over as the President, he signed up as the client of John Davis and was his first client in Brazil. He looked to him for guidance on business ethics to be able to achieve success in business. In a short time, he has led RBS Group to brilliance, and this has secured him a place in the list of the top 25 business leaders at Cambridge Institute for Family Enterprise. The list has names of leaders from world-class family businesses who are taking the legacy of their family business further.
Even though Duda is working towards increasing the profits of the RBS Group, he also wants to explore new investment sectors in Brazil and abroad. He set up an investment company with the name of eBricks with a $100 million starting capital and is looking to expand its business in the digital industry. Apart from his work, Duda loves sports. He is interested in horse racing and enjoys a game whenever he is free from his work commitments.
