Queenstown is situated in the South Island of New Zealand, set within a stunning natural alpine setting. Lakes and mountains on the doorstep provide the playground for the many exciting things to see and do on your holiday.

From Bungy Jumping to White Water Rafting, Tandem Paragliding, Heliskiing, River Jet-boating and mountain hikes – if you want to know you are alive, there is plenty to choose from in Queenstown.

Although Queenstown is renowned as the Worlds best playground for adrenaline junkies it certainly offers much more then just high-action, extreme activities. If self-pampering and relaxing is more your vacation style, you will find plenty to keep you relaxed and satisfied in this fabulous area of the Southern Lakes region. There are fabulous restaurants, health and beauty spa’s, nature walks, international golf courses, fly fishing, shopping, cultural tours, tranquil lake cruises and much more.

Queenstown during winter is incredible. It has a great range of easily accessed ski fields including Coronet Peak, Cardrona Alpine Resort, Harris Mountain Heliski, The Remarkables Ski Area and Treble Cone.

Feeling brave? -take a leap of faith into thin air with AJ Hackett Bungy. Choose from the worlds first ever site at the Kawarau Bridge, or off a ledge at the top of a mountain. Another option is a very scary swing from a rope over the Shotover Canyon.

A ride up the Skyline Gondola for 220 degree panorama views including Coronet Peak and Lake Wakatipu offers a more relaxing alternative. Once there you also have available a restaurant, cafe, luge, walks and hikes. A unique experience is the Haka Pa which offers a taste of Maori cultural. It includes a formal welcome to their Maori Village, concert performance and traditional Maori feast.

Another great option is a scenic Lake Wakatipu cruise on board the TSS Earnslaw Vintage Steamship – a wonderful way to spend a lazy afternoon.

It’s not just all hype – Queenstown really is an incredible and unique destination that offers unrivalled opportunities. Where else in the world in a single day can you jump off a bridge then play a relaxing round of golf. Then take a stunning gondola ride before racing down a steep hill on a Luge, enjoying lunch afterwards in an award winning caf before trying a spot of fly-fishing and travelling at break-neck speed down the Shotover River on a jet boat before enjoying a relaxing massage before heading out to enjoy the awesome bars and restaurants in the heart of the town? Welcome to Queenstown!

Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, Queenstown has plenty to offer visitors, no matter what your age, holiday tastes or budget!
